SOCIETAL DAMAGE

When Ellie Hayner, a middle-aged woman, goes in to have a routine surgery, she has no idea that when she wakes up her identity will be transformed into something unimaginable. Haunted by a mental-illness diagnosis from early childhood, she struggles to differentiate between what is reality and her imagination. Is she crazy, or did the surgeon do this to her? What if he did? Is she now a better person because of it?

In search of the answers, Ellie hires an investigator to track down the evidence. As the investigator gets closer to uncovering the truth, another surgery patient of Dr. Barringer goes missing. There is a race against time to prove the surgeon is responsible and stop him from ruining other innocent lives. Along the way, Ellie wonders if she will ever get her normal life back, and learns that ‘normal’ is all relative.
